Six years ago I created a piece depicting metaphorically an alienating urban setting. It is made of wooden blocks, painted B/W, 80X80cm, 60cm high. A small doll, 8 cm high, was placed there amidst the streets of this empty nowhere. That doll has been long lost.In the perimeter of this piece I placed rectangular "Gates" to that "Place" that serve as proposed viewing angles to study this place by looking through them, meandering through the desolated streets. Yesterday I started studying it with a camera. The top photo (to be replaced with a better one that doesn't show the book cases in the background) is a "panoramic" view and two photos below (e-retouched) are macro views through the gates.
